Renan Lar-uan (Curator) A Voyage to New Guinea, and the Moluccas In 1906, the US Military Government in the Philippines commemorated the cultural and economic contribution of the East India Company in an exhibition titled A Voyage to New Guinea, and the Moluccas: Colonial Agency. The exhibition opened in Manila in the same week that the US Army headed by General Leonard Wood launched a counterinsurgency action against Moros in Mindanao. The exhibition was the first large-scale cultural enterprise initiated by the US in Asia.
